MOLLUSCA: GASTROPODA (pp 196-212) In Structure and Evolution of Invertebrate Nervous Systems Edited by Andreas Schmidt-Rhaesa, Steffen Harzsch, and Günter Purschke © Oxford University Press 2016. Published 2016 by Oxford University Press.

My name is Olga and I am a Biomedical Illustrator.

Why work with me?

I have a PhD in Cell Biology and twelve years in practical laboratory experience. I have recently finished my postdoctoral studies at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden – the home of the Nobel Prize Assembly. I've also studied in art school for four years, which led me to become a freelance scientific visual artist and designer. Having published a number of my own research papers, I am well aware of the challenges involved in presenting scientific data. A thoughtful application of the artistic approach to technical illustrations can be very effective at conveying complex scientific results and concepts.

I create high quality illustrations for scientific articles and for other media (please see portfolio section for examples of my work). To achieve that I work closely with researchers to understand the aims and concepts behind each illustration.

You are welcome to contact me. I will help you to explore potential options for presenting your scientific results in an effective and beautiful manner.
